1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is David Oganyan, operating under the Team R brand in the United Arab Emirates.

2. Who this Policy applies to

This Policy applies to website visitors and to parents or legal guardians of junior drivers who enquire about testing, coaching or racing with Team R.

3. Data we process

• the name of a parent or legal guardian;
• a Telegram or WhatsApp contact, or telephone number;
• the child’s age and karting experience;
• information you voluntarily provide in correspondence;
• technical data, including pages viewed, referral source, UTM parameters, language, device and browser type, approximate location and website interactions.

4. Children’s data

Team R works with drivers aged 5–12, but the website and enquiry form are intended for parents and legal guardians. Children should not submit their own information through the website.

The form does not request the child’s name. Age and experience are used only to respond to the enquiry and make an initial assessment of the relevant class and participation format.

5. How we use data

• responding to enquiries and discussing possible participation;
• preparing an offer, testing programme or race-weekend proposal;
• organising further communication;
• measuring website and campaign performance;
• improving content, navigation and the enquiry form;
• maintaining security and preventing misuse.

6. Grounds for processing

We process data with your consent, to respond to your request and take steps before entering into an agreement, and, where applicable, for Team R’s legitimate interests in securing and improving the website. You may withdraw consent at any time.

7. PostHog analytics

With your consent, the website uses PostHog EU for anonymous product analytics and privacy-safe session recordings. All form fields are masked: names, contact details and entered text are not included in recordings or analytics events.

We measure page views, traffic sources, website language, navigation, button clicks and the fact that a visitor proceeded to send an enquiry. We do not build named visitor profiles and do not sell personal data.

8. Telegram and WhatsApp

The website form does not send the entered information to a Team R server. When you press the submit button, the website opens your selected Telegram or WhatsApp application with a prepared message. The information is transferred only when you choose to send that message.

Further processing is also governed by Telegram’s or WhatsApp/Meta’s own privacy terms. Please do not send information that is unnecessary for discussing participation.

9. Service providers and recipients

We may use website hosting and infrastructure providers, PostHog EU, Telegram, WhatsApp/Meta and an email provider. They receive only the information required to provide the relevant service.

10. International transfers

Team R operates in the UAE, while service providers may operate in other countries. Data may therefore be transferred outside the UAE. We use available contractual and technical safeguards and take UAE data protection requirements into account.

11. Retention

• enquiry information and correspondence: up to 24 months after the last substantive contact, unless longer retention is needed to perform an agreement or protect legal claims;
• PostHog analytics events: up to 12 months;
• session recordings: up to 30 days;
• consent and language preferences: on your device until browser data is cleared.

12. Your rights

Where provided by law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing and withdraw consent. You may also complain to the competent UAE data protection authority.

13. Security

We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards, minimise the data collected and restrict access. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when the website, service providers or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will be published on this page.
